Warlord - Self redemption

Description

This is a redue of Warlord, a character for a specific member off of the site Mustang v2. I Was not very pleased with how I did the first attempt at a manip for him. So I completely redid a new one, different horse and new pose. I was debating on putting a bit of feathering on his pastures but I liked the over all look without adding more.

So I hope this is an improvement since the first photomanip I did of him. Critiques are more than welcomed. I love getting helpful hints on improving.

dude this horse looks spectacular. you did a really good job on the mane and tail for not having a tablet. you basically just need to do more with the background, as it looks reeeeally plain and even if it was a bit darker and a bit more grey it would have made this image like 30x better.

also, you do what fallen and a lot of other people do, which i think is a very very bad idea and i think it makes manips much harder: make your manips 3,000 pixels wide. stop. doing. that. i'm serious. there is no reason for the image to be that big.

i never go any bigger than 1300px width. it makes cutting the horse out much easier, as you don't have to deal with big spaces, and it's easier to erase when you get down to the small stuff because with large eraser sizes if you try to do a nice straight line it is not happy.

it makes drawing the mane and tail, smudging, and literally everything else much faster and easier, and it lessens the strain on your computer to deal with such a massive file size.
